Yellowstone Snowmobile & Snowcoach Tours
Explore the wild winter setting in Yellowstone National Park with Togwotee Snowmobile Adventures. Yellowstone is a winter wildlife sanctuary, where herds of bison and elk gather, wolves prowl and thankfully the bears sleep. All tours of Yellowstone are guided; this ensures the safety of visitors and minimizes our impact on wildlife. Our guides are knowledgeable about the Greater Yellowstone area and trained by the National Park Service. We offer two very different ways to explore Yellowstone: via snowmobile or from the warmth of a Snowcoach.
Yellowstone by Snowmobile
We offer several snowmobile day tours into Yellowstone. To experience Yellowstone to its fullest, we can also arrange the overnight tour of your dreams. We use four-stroke snowmobiles with the best available technology in an effort to reduce emissions and noise levels, and to comply with park regulations. All of our snowmobiles are able to carry two passengers. These sleds are very comfortable for even one driver; known as the Cadillac of snowmobiles, they will allow you to explore the winter wonderland of Yellowstone in comfort and safety.
Old Faithful Tour: Everyone should see Old Faithful erupt in a plume of steam into the winter air at least once in their lifetime! Erupting approximately every ninety minutes, the hot geyser vapor and white winter setting make this experience a surreal one you will never forget. You will also see Lewis Canyon, Moose Falls, the Continental Divide, and several other points of interest. In winter, wildlife gather near the many thermal features you will view on your way to the world’s most famous geyser. This tour is 90 miles round-trip, and our most popular tour.
Canyon Yellowstone Tour: Known as the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone National Park, the Yellowstone River has carved out this impressive feature over thousands of years. (Not to be confused with the giant ditch in Arizona) The partially frozen falls and ice misted canyon walls make the Canyon one of Yellowstone's most spectacular winter features! You will follow the shores of Yellowstone Lake to the Mud Volcano, continuing along the Yellowstone River through the bison-rich Hayden Valley, ending at Artist’s Point and the Grand Canyon. This tour is 125 miles round-trip.
Yellowstone Loop Tour: For those who would like to see as much of the park as you can in a day, you can travel around the entire southern loop of Yellowstone visiting both the Canyon area and Old Faithful. The Loop is the longest Yellowstone trip available and a great tour for the adventurous spirit! Double riders are not permitted on the Loop Tour. This tour is 165 miles.
Yellowstone Overnights: To truly experience everything that Yellowstone has to offer, one day may not be enough! We can arrange an overnight tour to multiple destinations in the park. Overnight lodging options are The Snow Lodge located at Old Faithful, West Yellowstone (a good choice for those interested in the nightlife of Yellowstone) and Gardiner, Montana, a serene and historical destination located on the Yellowstone River.
